ARToolKit

ARToolKit is a software library for building Augmented Reality (AR) applications. These are applications that involve the overlay of virtual imagery on the real world. For example, in the image to the right a three-dimensional virtual character appears standing on a real card. It can be seen by the user in the head set display they are wearing. When the user moves the card, the virtual character moves with it and appears attached to the real object.

「Did you know ?(你知道嗎？)」第1-4版中文字幕版足本收錄

兩年前園丁在的第一次校務會議中，曾經向同事介紹美國的一位老師Karl Fisch所製作的PowerPoint “Did you know?”，相信他發夢也想不到在blog “The Fishbowl”發表後，在世界各地被千萬人引用及加工，更被認為「現代人不可錯過發人深省的短片」，轉眼間已製作了第四版，這四段影片在翻成中文之後可以播給我們的學生觀看，擴闊他們的世界觀！

ICANN終於脫離美國政府控制，真正獨立！

ICANN是甚麼組織？

ICANN – 網際網路名稱與數字地址分配機構（Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers）成立於1998年9月18日，是美國加利福尼亞的非營利社團，主要由互聯網協會的成員組成，其宗旨是代表美國政府，監督最頂層網域名稱W(Top level domain names)系統管理與IP位址W(IP addesses)的分配，這些任務曾由其它組織（特別是IANA）代表美國政府來執行。

唯近年來，讓ICANN也對世界其他國家負責的索求愈來愈大，例如歐洲聯盟自2005年以來就呼籲讓ICANN脫離美國政府而獨立。

ICANN宣布獨立運作

ICANN與美國商務部宣布，已簽署新的協議，讓這個網際網路管理組織「獨立運作，不受任一機構控制」。ICANN也將繼續維持非營利性民間組織的性質。
