不知道為甚麼Twitter^W在香港總是紅不起，新浪微博^W的用途亦只流於娛樂八卦的碎碎念，這幾年iGardener主要是靠Twitter^W直接了解外國的教育趨勢（尤其電子學習），很感慨外國的老師不須教育部門的「大方向」或先導計劃，便可以自發利用低成本的社交網站^W，組織不少甚具影響力的學習群體，如 Flat Classroom 等，我們香港嘛，仍是熱衷和留戀於成立「同鄉會」式的諸般學界協會……

好了，回復正能量的園丁吧！

記得在24/9的《Education 2.5me: Master the new Media in learning environment 新媒體 伸教學》的研討會中，有同工對園丁《新媒體、真學習》短講中提及的外國教育twitters十分感興趣，除了我寄了給他們的幾個twitter名稱之外，還整理一下現有過百的跟隨(follows)，現精選了25 個甚具代表性的教育twitters，在此公開推介給各位有志了解外國教育趨勢的同工吧！

Google Buzz^W來了，又是甚麼Twitter killer或Facebook剎星？別來這套了！

作為中學資訊科技教師，園丁是重度Google用家兼傳承者，對Google的新產品是樂於推介，可是，這趟Google Buzz有點不同了。

Google Buzz是什麼？昨天早上才可試用，網上已經很多中英的教學文章，不用贅述了。可惜的是，我覺得Buzz這個服務是最近Google推出的服務中，最令我不快的。她讓我不耐煩的原因有以下幾點：

以下的英文版演示很介紹28種在教學上應用Twitter^W的點子，適合介紹給初嘗試Twitter的教師：

園丁想參考外國在教學使用Twitter^W的實戰經驗，google一下，給我一個接到Dallas市University of Texas的歷史科教授Monica Rankin的「Twitter實驗」，她在傳統的課堂嘗試使用web2.0的技術Twitter，看完影片後，可歸納以下課題：

• Twitter140個字符在教學上的限制和優勢
• 學生可使用多種不同技術和設備發表意見
• 可以加入遠方的參與者（包括講師）
• 為90名學生的大型課堂，仍可增加互動和投入感
• 教師能夠即時評估意見和課後跟進

不能否定他們使用Twitter的創意，我想現在新高中通識科經常有合組課堂(lecture)，大可使用twitter收集意見，不用買那些貴貴的多項選擇答題器。

我欣賞她的勇氣，在教育上應用新的科技，她在影片最後的評論更值得我們香港的保險派老師反思：

「是的，的確會有混亂，但混亂並不一定意味著這將是壞的 。」

以下的英文版演示很淺白地介紹Twitter^W的概念和字彙，適合介紹給Twitter的入門者(newbies)：

愛上Common Craft 的〈電腦知識簡易懂〉影片系列已兩年，在走火入魔的PowerPoint特效世界中，就像喧嚣中的一股清泉，所以園丁介紹了給不少同工觀看。

可惜YouTube上的”in Plain English”影片不是每套都有中文翻譯，對園丁的學生有點語言障礙。

幸好最近在dotsub.com發現了〈電腦知識簡易懂〉影片系列的多語文字幕版，速速記下連結，幫助學生明白web 2.0的嶄新概念吧，教科書亦沒有這麼update啊！

打開信箱，收到今期的TIME雜誌封面不再老是Obama兩公婆了，眼前一亮是iPhone^W上的Twitter^W訊息（見圖）：

我便知道Twitter這類微網誌(microblog^W)不再是科技人玩意，它在六四廿周年及最近伊朗選舉（華盛頓郵報稱之為Twitter革命！）扮演十分重要的角色，甚至美國政府要求twitter在大選期間不要進行系統更新，所以ICT學子們要對此Web 2.0^W工具有所了解。
